An 8-week course on the foundations of yoga incorporating meditation, breathwork and movement aimed at beginners.
Over the 8 weeks participants will learn the core elements of yoga, particularly focussing on combining breathwork with movement and correct techniques in basic yoga postures. These techniques and postures will allow you to complete your own practise but also act as the foundation for developing on.
Instructor: Scott Reed
I am not your usual Yoga teacher. I graduated as a physiotherapist in 2006 and then moved to Australia. I have worked in major hospitals across Australia becoming a specialist in neurological rehabilitation and gaining a postgraduate certificate. During my time in Australia I became a triathlete competing in many distances, including Ironman. I have also progressed to ultra-endurance events in running and cycling. Throughout this time, I have used strength training and yoga to both improve my performance and remain injury free. Since my return to the UK in 2016 I have continued to cycle as much as possible (not easy with 2 small children!) but began to focus on yoga as my primary activity.
Booking on to this course entitles you to attend all 8 of the weekly training sessions. If there are 2 weeks or more before the start date and we are able to fill your space, we may be able to offer a full refund for cancellation.
